From research directly to the slopes
Founder and Technical Director Dr. Thanos Karydas combines his passion for snow sports with his scientific background as a chemist with a doctorate.
The combination of laboratory research, practical tests and direct collaboration with athletes results in products that not only work in the lab, but also impress under real competition conditions.
Responsibility for Environment and Health
Already in 1994, Dominator set new standards in the development of safe ski waxes. While many competitors were still relying on older fluorine technologies, Dominator developed C6-based solutions early on and published guidelines for safe working practices in the wax room.
This innovative spirit continues to shape the company to this day and later led to the development of modern fluorine-free racing series such as:
From World Cup to recreational sports
Dominator has always focused on competitive sports, working closely with technicians, service teams, and athletes.
Founder Dr. Thanos Karydas himself worked as a service technician at several Olympic Games and numerous World Cup events. The experience gained there directly feeds into product development.
